Last week, Dental Tribune International (DTI) launched cone beam, international magazine of cone beam dentistry, a quarterly continuing education publication devoted entirely to CBCT in dentistry. Periodontal disease may increase seizure frequency in epilepsy patients
SÃO PAULO, Brazil: Researchers from Brazil found that periodontal disease and seizure severity were correlated in the patient group. Seizure frequency was associated with poor oral hygiene, gingivitis and periodontitis.
In the study, researchers determined the periodontal disease status of 109 patients treated for epilepsy and a control group, and documented the patients’ seizure frequency and use of medication. MORE HERE

Mercury filling impact on certain genetic variants
