DCI inspectors arrive at College by ‘mistake’
Inspectors from the Dental Council of India, who came for a surprise inspection at the King George’s Medical University on Wednesday, were themselves in for a shock when they realised that there was really no need for the entire exercise.

DCI election of VP challenged in Court
Justice P. Naveen Rao of the Hyderabad High Court on Saturday admitted a petition challenging the election of vice-president of Dental Council of India, despite an interim stay granted by this court in July 6, 2014.

The judge issued notices to the Centre, the DCI, IDA and Dr Ala Srikanth, secretary of IDA seeking their stand on the plea...>MORE HERE
Painless extraction without Needle
Imagine a painless tooth extraction without anaesthesia? Dr Vivek J, a dental surgeon who learnt the Danta Vaidya Visharada course from Gujarat University, surprises his patients with his technique. He makes the patient sit, hold breath in yogic way, shakes patient’s head and removes the teeth within 15 seconds.
“What we do during a tooth extraction is combination of Yoga and Ayurveda. Breathing is blocked through Jalandhara Bhandha and pressure is created over vital points of the body. The nerve h is numbed and the tooth extracted. There is minimal blood loss and it is quick,” says Dr Vivek. He has extracted more than 4,000 teeth this way, including at dental camps by SSCASRH.
