Robbery bid in dental clinic near Bangalore
A robbery bid on Thursday afternoon in a dental clinic was foiled when the dentist fought off the duo.
The incident happened at the residence-cum-clinic of dentist Santhosh, in Hosakerehalli near Banashankari. According to the police, Santhosh was having lunch when he observed some unusual activity in his clinic. He went inside and found himself face to face with two masked men who were searching his clinic.
He caught hold of them. One of them escaped. The dentist let go of the other on being threatened with a knife. The dentist alerted the Girinagar police immediately. HINDU NEWS

For restoring eyesight in very special cases, dentists and doctors from Düsseldorf use an artificial cornea implant that is made from a tooth root.

Ozone nano-bubble water: Potential treatment for severe gum infections
A powerful new antiseptic agent, called ozone nano-bubble water, holds promise for the treatment of periodontitis, or severe gum infections, according to research published in the journal Science and Technology of Advanced Materials.
The study, by Shinichi Arakawa and colleagues at Tokyo Medical and Dental University and Japan’s National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, evaluated the bactericidal activities of ozone nano-bubble water — also known as NBW3 — against the two main bacterial agents that cause periodontitis as well as its toxicity to human oral tissue cells.
