Dental council issues notice to 192 dental practitioners for violation of ethics
In an effort to curb unethical practices in the dental health sector, the Andhra Pradesh State Dental Council (APSDC), the regulatory body of dentists in the State, has issued notices to as many as 192 dental practitioners.
The notices were issued for a host of violations including advertisements, appointment of non-qualified personnel at dental clinics and soliciting patients through unethical means. ..HINDU NEWS

Dentist Robbed of Gold chain & Scooter
Bangalore Dentist Dr Pratibha Dinesh (35), resident of Girinagar 2A Main, was on her way to visit her sister at 10.30 pm. The robber suddenly waylaid her.

Orthodontist TRADED SECOND HAND BRACES
An orthodontist who has admitted to selling on second-hand braces worked at the HSE dental clinic adjoining Roscommon Hospital as recently as 2009, it has been revealed. The University of Kerala has directed the managements of self-financing professional colleges to install cameras inside examination halls to prevent and detect the growing incidents of mass copying by students, allegedly with the connivance of college authorities.

NCI scientists report that the incidence of oropharyngeal cancer significantly increased during the period 1983-2002 among people in countries that are economically developed.
