Woman dies during tooth extraction
NAVI MUMBAI: A woman from Varanasi, Pushpa Pandey (55), who had come to MGM hospital in Kamothe for dental treatment, died immediately after her tooth was extracted. Her husband lodged a complaint at Kamothe police station, alleging that she died due to the dentist’s negligence. But the cops registered an accidental death report. Dr Amar Bhosale of MGM dental hospital was unavailable for his comments. Sub inspector Dilip Mayekar said they are waiting for her post mortem report....NEWSLINK

On the 30th of July, they were suddenly thrashed allegedly by a group of youngsters for making them wait to avail treatment. The incident took place in HSR Layout of Bengaluru. Retirement age for dentist now at 67
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s assertion to raise the retirement age of dentists to 67 years at par with those working in the health services cadre could face problem as the Dental Council of India has fixed it at 65 years. As per a 2011 letter of the Union Health Ministry to the Dental Council of India, the retirement age was determined at 65 years. LINK
