Maharashtra’s private medical/dental colleges can’t have own CET-S Court
Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed a plea by the association of Maharashtra’s private medical colleges to be allowed to conduct its own common entrance test (CET) for medical and dental college admissions.
It means students will be admitted to state as well as private colleges on the basis of a single test conducted by the state CET cell. TOI NEWS

ALBANY, Calif. (KTVU) – It will be one year on Tuesday, March 8th, since a UCSF dental student was killed in her own apartment in Albany.

Why British Dentists came to India to save Bears by doing RCT
British vets came to the rescue to operate on 19 rescued ‘dancing bears’ who were at risk of dying as a result of the trauma they’d experienced.
In a first of its kind operation, the endangered sloth bears underwent lifesaving dental surgery at the Wildlife SOS Agra Bear Rescue Facility in India.
The team of dedicated veterinarians from Wildlife SOS in India, with support from International Animal Rescue UK, performed root canal surgeries.

Cavitation at tip helps better scaling
The formation of tiny bubbles around the head of ultrasonic scalers, used by dentists to remove built-up plaque, is key to the cleaning process of teeth, researchers, including one of Indian-origin, have found.
Scientists from University of Birmingham in the UK observed the bubble formation, or cavitation, of water around the head of the scaler using high speed cameras. NEWSLINK
