Two dental students (final BDS) killed on road
Chennai: Two final year students of a private dental college in Puducherry were killed instantly when their car rammed a wayside tree at Nallur on East Coast Road early on Wednesday.
Police said J Balamurali, 24, of Ramanathapuram, and Rahul, 24, of Karur, visited the city on Tuesday and were returning to Puducherry. NEWS DETIALS
Supreme court orders in DCI election case
The Supreme Court in an appeal filed by Shri. Shaji K. Joseph once again reiterated the settled law that once the process of election starts, no court should interfere with the election process. Minister finds dentist missing on inspection
District Collector Yogita Rana warned the Government hospital doctors and para-medical staff that disciplinary action would be taken against them if they failed to attend to their duties on time. On Wednesday, the District Collector made a surprise visit to the Armoor Government hospital in the town and found that a physician Dr Narayana, a dentist Dr Nagaraju and a clerk Vamshi Priya were absent. DCI to reach Ministry, Obesity and tooth cavity
The Dental Council of India (DCI) has said it would soon reach out to the Union Ministry of Health to find a solution to the problem.
“Dentists have been doing major studies on the problem and have gathered a lot of data which is in a compilation stage right now. Dental caries and obesity are closely related and the problem is spreading like epidemic. Obese kids have lesser physical activity which leads to ineffective chewing which further makes them susceptible to caries,” said DCI member Dr AK Chandna....LINK
