Rampant fraud at Indian medical education system-Reuters
Patients pretending they are sick and doctors posing as faculty members are routine. The ramifications of India’s broken medical-education system are being felt beyond the country’s borders. In a four-month investigation, Reuters has documented the full extent of the fraud in India’s medical-education system. It found, among other things, that more than one out of every six of the country’s 398 medical schools has been accused of cheating, according to Indian government records and court filings.

Mumbai-based Total Dental Care Pvt. Ltd, which operates dental services chain Mydentist, has raised Rs.50 crore in funding, co-founder Vikram Vora said.
