Dentist death- Father of Army dental corps passes away
Major General Kartar Singh, one of the first dental surgeons the country produced, passed away on Thursday.
He was 95 and a resident of Panchkula.
The information of his death was confirmed by the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, where his body was donated for research. NEWSLINK

DUBAI – Woman threatens to kill dentist
DUBAI: An unemployed Croatian woman threatened to kill an elderly Danish dentist and told him to count his wife among the dead if he refused to give her money.
The suspect AS, 42, landed at the Dubai Criminal Court on Thursday and prosecutors accused her of texting death threats to the 60-year-old dentist, SS.
She threatened to “end” his life and that of his wife. And that his life had shortened and his wife was “among the dead.” The threats were meant to extort money from SS, showed Al Rifaía police station. NEWSLINK

500 arrested including students, parents
Another 65 students have been arrested in connection with the Pre-medical entrance test recruitment scam in Madhya Pradesh. The Special Task Force has arrested a total of 500 people including parents for seeking admission in various government medical colleges through unfair means.

Loose dentures get stuck in food pipe
NEW DELHI- “The lady (name withheld on request) swallowed loose-fitting dentures while drinking water. Her family immediately rushed her to the emergency wing after which endoscopy was done.
